Approved by the Ministry of Infrastructure in September 2017, the Gronda of Genoa aims to lighten the traffic of the approximately 60,000 vehicles travelling each day on the A10 highway; the old and the new viaduct over the Polcevera river are part of A10 highway. With an estimated construction time of 10 years and a cost of 4.5 million euro, the road 65 km long will connect Voltri, Bolzaneto and Genoa; it will be for the 80% buried through the 23 tunnels and the remaining 20% will be distributed among 13 new viaducts that will join the 11 already existing.
