TAV main gallery works in Trasta (GE) construction site started in 2013, but due to the creation of service tunnels, other areas such as Isoverde and San Quirico were involved. “Comitato Valverde” committee is the point of reference for those who protest in the valley; it formally asks for the lock down of the construction site due to the environmental damage it creates. In the process to be closed in 2009 due to environmental pollution reasons, Castellaro gravel pit of Isoverde is currently used to store debris containing asbestos rocks; debris have been auto declared by Cociv company  as "non-special waste".
