Canepa seafront road

After the Morandi Bridge collapse. 80.000 vehicles per day passed on this road spot and this raised the issues faced by residents since years. As ARPAL data revealed, the road widening has led to 50% more pollution above the allowed limits. To reduce the damage the “Comitato lungomare Canepa” committee suggested a sound-absorbing tunnel and a wider area between road and houses which now are only 5m distance. To date 200 families have had to give up all the rooms overlooking the waterfront due to noise and air pollution.
