To reduce the quantity of dust produced during the demolition by mechanical jaw, constant water jets are sprayed towards the buildings. Despite these “mitigation plan”, dust inevitably invades neighbourhoods causing bother among residents who complain of respiratory issues and burning eyes. Air quality is monitored well within the construction site, but it is not as accurate in the surrounding areas.
