On August 12th 2019, just a few days before the annual commemoration of the bridge, the opening of via Porro reconnected the split districts of Sampierdarena and Certosa. The benefit to the city viability, it was measured by the health harm caused to the residents of the street who found themselves impacted by an enormous amount of traffic.
